An approved partner company normally becomes a separate controller for information it receives and uses to assess, contact or engage a driver. Ask that company for its own privacy notice before providing additional documents.

• Account information, including email address, role and account dates.
• Driver details such as name, contact details, preferred areas, availability, licence and work-experience information, CV, references and job-search status.
• Confirmation that a driver is willing to complete checks required for a particular role. The initial profile does not ask for details of criminal convictions.
• Company application, depot, vacancy requirements, representative contact details and proposed job terms.
• Matching, contact-reveal and placement records, including which approved company opened a candidate's contact details and when.
• Messages, enquiries and technical/security records needed to run the service.

Please do not send health, criminal-record or other sensitive details through a free text box. If a lawful check is needed later, the requesting organisation should give a separate explanation and use an appropriate secure process.

• Contract or steps you request: creating and administering an account, keeping a driver profile available and providing introductions.
• Legitimate interests: operating a focused recruitment introduction service, matching by area and stated requirements, preventing misuse, securing accounts, measuring partner activity and keeping an auditable candidate pipeline. We balance these interests against your rights and limit company access to assigned candidates.
• Legal obligations: keeping records or disclosing information where recruitment, tax, regulatory or law enforcement rules require it.
• Consent: only where an optional future feature genuinely relies on consent. You may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

We do not currently use driver details for unrelated third-party advertising and we do not sell personal information.

The platform may automatically compare a completed profile with approved partner companies using area, availability and role requirements. A match makes the profile available to suitable companies and can be corrected or removed by GdriverUK administration. The partner company, not the matching rule, decides whether to contact, interview or offer work, and the driver decides which opportunity to pursue.

We do not use this matching to make a solely automated decision that hires a driver or produces an equivalent legal effect. Contact us if you believe a match is wrong or want a person to review it.

• Approved partner companies whose active area and stated requirements match the driver. Basic candidate information may be visible first; opening contact details creates an auditable pipeline event.
• Service providers used for authentication, database/storage, hosting and service email, including Google Firebase. They act under their own terms and, where applicable, processing arrangements.
• Professional advisers, regulators or authorities when reasonably necessary.
• A successor organisation if the service is reorganised or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice.

Companies cannot browse an unrestricted public driver database. Access is limited to candidates assigned through the platform and must be used only for genuine recruitment.

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we rely on an adequacy regulation, approved contractual safeguards or another permitted transfer mechanism, and assess any additional protections needed.

• Active account and matching information is kept while the account or job search is active and for the time reasonably needed to administer introductions and disputes.
• Inactive driver profiles are reviewed for deletion or anonymisation no later than 24 months after the last meaningful activity, unless the driver reactivates the search or a legal reason requires longer retention.
• Unsuccessful company applications and general enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months and 12 months respectively.
• Security, consent, matching and placement records may be retained for the relevant limitation period or a statutory recruitment-record period where applicable.

These are maximum working periods, not promises to retain every record for that long. We may delete information sooner when it is no longer needed.

We use access controls, authenticated accounts, restricted database rules and audit events appropriate to the service. No internet system is risk-free. Use a unique password, keep it private and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent where consent is the basis. You may also ask for human review of relevant automated processing. We may need to verify identity and may retain information that law requires us to keep.

GdriverUK currently uses only storage that is necessary for authentication, security and remembering essential interface state. We do not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. If non-essential analytics or advertising is added, this notice and the consent controls will be updated before those technologies run.

Driver and company accounts are intended for people aged 18 or over. We may update this notice as the service changes. Material changes will be shown here and, where appropriate, communicated through the account or email.
